Lugano Shores
Investments, LLC was formed in 2004 by long time
Carlsbad residents and partners Willie Banks
through his company HSJ Inc. and Daniel
Zimmermann. LSI aims to bring small quality
developments with a modern, minimalist and
functional architecture to coastal Carlsbad.
Both partners have traveled extensively
throughout Europe and Asia and run successful
businesses there. It is their goal to bring
modern architecture to Coastal Carlsbad in an
affordable and attractive package to enhance the
local community with new and fresh projects.
The name of Lugano Shores
finds its roots in the name of a lake that
connects Southern Switzerland to Northern
Italy. Its shores are famous for ancient Roman
villas as well as modern architecture from well
known architects such as Mario Botta. It is a
place where the ancient past is mixing with
modern life and architecture.
To develop our ideas and
vision we partnered with the local architect
firm Atelier X Architects. They designed our
Tamarack Beach Lofts project which is a small
four unit development in Old Carlsbad just steps
from the Pacific Ocean. The design of Tamarack
Beach Lofts incorporates simplicity and
functionality into 4 desirable town home units
of 2,200 sf. These new homes offer privacy in a
very desirable and easily accessible location
less than 200 yards from the Pacific Ocean and
easy freeway access to Interstate 5 within 1/4
mile of the property.
